These are papers with silicon coating on one side or both sides. The silicon coating ensures that nothing sticks on to the paper and, therefore, find application as release paper in the labelling industry. The base paper is usually glassine or kraft.

Application : Siliconized products are used in a variety of applications. The band-aid medicated tape that we applied when we got hurt as children, the diapers that we use with babies, self-adhesive tapes on the back of carpet are some cases where siliconized products find application. In particular 60 gsm silicon coated paper is used as release paper for pressure-sensitive self-adhesive labels.
