The Shahani Trust is a private charitable trust established in 1958 by one of Mumbai’s most renowned philanthropists Dada Kishinchand T. Shahani. In 1947, after India’s partition, many homeless migrants from the state of Sindh settled in Bombay. Dada K.T. Shahani saw their plight & decided to help to rehabilitate them by forming a trust that would provide facilities in education, healthcare & low cost housing for this community. Over the last half a century, The Shahani Trust has facilitated the creation of many well known educational & medical institutions in Mumbai.
