of the other ways The Shahani Trust has helped society are:
- Low-Cost Housing:
Three housing colonies were built in the Mumbai suburbs
of Juhu, Mulund & Chembur. A combined total of 350 flats
were provided to the needy at a very nominal rent.
- Justice Chainani Elder’s Home:
In the Shahani Colony of Mulund, the Trust has built an
Elder’s home to take care of senior citizens who have
been abandoned by their families. Here, elders live a dignified
life with many outlets for recreation and interaction
- Shahani Health Home:
In the lush hill station of Lonavala, near Mumbai, the Trust
runs a hotel on a non-profit basis. The 62 room property
also has two fully functional conference halls, garden cottages
and a restaurant
